At Roofing Industries it is our objective to build sustainability in with what we generally consider to be 'good’ business practices, such as increased efficiency, minimising waste and maximizing resources. Sustainable business practices are a way to lead our group and are applied across all aspects of our business - from administration, roll forming to waste disposal. Roofing Industries is moving towards utilising Environmentally Sustainable practices across all our operations. We undertake to educate our employees, suppliers and customers on our Environmental Sustainability vision.
Roofing Industries has completed GreenTagCertTM GreenRate Level A certification for our roll-Formed Metal Roofing, Cladding, Flashing and Rainwater Systems using ColorCote®. The certification process was completed using the ColorCote® Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), and means that Roofing Industries has put in place globally recognised initiatives to develop, market, and sell products that are achieving less negative environmental and health impacts in the built environment industry. This will lead to growth in specification and built projects using our products, as architects and building owners recognise the importance of environmental considerations in the building industry. We use the Global GreenTagCertTM logo in our marketing and sales actvities, specifically in association with ColorCote® product, to reinforce our commitment to this initiative. Energy PolicyRoofing Industries are pleased to announce that Eco® Choice Aotearoa has awarded a Licence for EC-57 Pre-Painted and Resin-Coated Metal Products to New Zealand Steel Colorsteel®, Zincalume® and GalvSteel® products. This certification allows architects and designers to achieve 2 points towards their Homestar® or Greenstar® projects when using Roofing Industries Roofing and Cladding products manufactured from New Zealand Steel products, from all of our 15 branches. In addition, Homestar® now recognises Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) as an acceptable means of compliance under MAT-1 Sustainable Materials Credit. This means that architects and designers can achieve up to 1.5 points when using Roofing Industries Roofing and Cladding products manufactured from New Zealand Steel products using the Colorsteel® EPD, from all 15 of our branches.
