On a recent project to supply roofing for the Maraetai Dam Power Plant, Ribline™ roofing was chosen for its durability and functionality, as well as its attractive appearance.

Philip Meyers, Roofing Industries Sales and Marketing Manager, explains why Ribline™ was the obvious choice for the project;

“Ribline is a 30mm trapezoidal profile which is able to be rollformed in two widths and has good effective cover in its wide 960 form giving excellent strength and durability when using 0.9mm gauge marine grade 5052 aluminium.”

Because the roof  on this project was situated in a remote and dificult location, using a high grade aluminium alloy made the roof installion much easier and faster than when using steel due to the exceptional strength and lightness of the 5052 alloy being carried up and along the dam structure.
